Year 11 Prom

The Prom Committee laid on a superb evening at the Heathcourt Hotel our Year 11 students. Methods of transport to the event ranged from an old MG to massive stretched limos and one that even looked liked a stretched articulated lorry. After an extended photo call outside, the students entered the Guineas Suite which had been wonderfully decorated by the committee with helium balloons, streamers and table decorations.

A professional photographer was on hand to take group photographs and the disco was warming up nicely. A delicious hot buffet was provided for all guests and was much appreciated. At the mid point we had the election of Prom King and Queen after which the Prom Cake, decorated with the school badge and colours, was cut and distributed.

The last few dances were made all the more memorable for the sight of staff joining in the dancing! Especially notable were the attempts by Mr Larkin and Mr Clarkson to do the Macarena! The evening ended with hugs and farewells between students.

P.S. They all met again on the next Monday for a GCSE examination!
